How we write our articles
The Mellow blog helps people with migraine understand their attacks and live better with them. Here is how each article is prepared, checked and kept up to date.
Who writes
Articles are published under the responsibility of Laurine Nicoletti, founder of Mellow, who lives with migraine. We are not doctors: we explain, in plain words, what health organisations and research say.
Our sources
Every figure and health claim links to its source, right in the sentence: public bodies (NHS, NIH, WHO, American Migraine Foundation…), medical societies and published studies. We favour sources in the article's language and check that every link works before publishing. The full list is at the end of each article.
What we don't do
No dosages, no diagnosis, no personalised treatment advice, no promise of a cure. Treatments are explained for information only, and we always point you to your doctor.
Updates
We review our articles regularly: links and sources checked, new studies, readers' frequent questions. When an article really changes, the update date is shown under its title.
